HRC: The Democrats’ Oatmeal Raisin Cookie?

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Hillary

That’s the question posed over at Daily WTF:

Hillary Clinton is the oatmeal raisin cookie of the Democratic Party. She is forced into blue faces everywhere, called “inevitable” despite the fact that not a single primary vote has been cast. And if the Clinton Machine somehow manages to win the Democratic nomination, if the primary voters are too divided between the chocolate chips and peanut butter chunks of the world to prevent the selection of the candidate that more of them actively hate than anyone else, the donkey will have signed its own death warrant. Barring a Dean Scream-like disaster for another Democrat, Hillary is the only legitimate contender on that side of the aisle who will cause her party to lose. Democrats don’t want to vote for her. Republicans would fight through hail, sleet, and snow to vote against her. In the dessert-baking world, that would be called a recipe for disaster.

Agreed. I don’t really like Hillary. She doesn’t inspire me at all. At least not yet, and since I’ve had a good 15 years getting to know here, I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon.

And what’s more, maybe this is just me, but I don’t want to see another Clinton in the White House. We need some new ideas and that means a whole new gaggle of talent. Not the old Clinton guard following HRC in. No thanks.

So then, on a related note, what cookie is Barack? How about Edwards? Kucinich?

Hillary Clinton’s name always gets the push
whether it’s Justin Gardner, Karl Rove or Barack Obama.

Her name always gets the push.

And what i mean by that is:
    bad publicity or good publicity
    is still publicity.

    Clinton always gets the push.

I have to agree with you. I don’t know what it is about her, but I am consistently underwhelmed by Hilary. I think maybe Bernstein got it best when he said that she had become less genuine. She just seems like all her public appearances are moderated, to an even greater degree than the other candidates. Hard to fathom…

  3. The Hedonistic Pleasureseeker Says:

Hillary is what I call one of the “Pod People.” Meaning she’s been bought by the real power in Washington and will do exactly what they tell her to, and trust me: You won’t like it. Can you say “puppet?” How about “figurehead?”

Unfortunately the real power in Washington will stack both parties with Pod People so you really won’t have a choice. That is, unless you vote Independent. I’ll vote for Ron Paul even if the CIA bumps him off. A dead Ron Paul would be a better president than a live Billary or Giuliani.

Face it: Look at our Dem-controlled Congress. They’re sheep. They don’t look out for our interests, they have failed and betrayed us. They have either been BOUGHT, or they’ve been THREATENED. Either way we lose. Every legislator supporting the neocon agenda needs to be voted out of office.

Democrat/Republican: What’s the difference? Want proof? Someone needs to ask Hillary if one of the first things she’ll do on New Years Day is overturn the recent unconstitutional Exective Orders that have turned the US into a police state. Don’t just listen to how she answers; look at her face: Pod Person. My instincts, which are always dead-on by the way, is that Billary would continue to push a Neocon “New World Order” agenda.

    Trust me: You’ll hate it.
