I’m really hoping Bloomberg doesn’t run – I doubt he would win (though it is possible, depending on who the other 2 candidates are), he could seriously screw with results in several swing states and throw the election in either direction. If his political strategist is good enough, he could even cherry-pick states where he’s the most likely to swing it in the direction he wants, thus determining the next president via tricks rather than votes.

I’m not enthustiastic about Ron Paul. I just think he’s run a really interesting campaign so far. Besides Justin and I have a bet that if Bloomberg didn’t run as an indy then Ron Paul would.

I couldn’t agree more about being disappointed that (I hope it’s really if) Bloomberg doesn’t run. He would have been a good candidate for the Unity ticket, if not some other third party.

I do not, however, share your enthusiasm for Ron Paul, who I still don’t understand the appeal of.

Bloomberg _is_ the Establishment. frankly Paul would have a better chance in the General if Bloomberg were running. three Establishment candidates and one RP.

also you Know Paul said he’s not planning to run outside the GOP, though if he does make a strong showing in primaries I don’t see how that could be avoided…then again if he can’t win in a five or six horse race in the primaries with record low turn-out and pathetic opponents what promise would there be in the General?
