Great movie. It would be helpful to have an abridged version so I could entice more people to watch it all........and hopefully get the point. TERM LIMITS are the beginning folks!!!

I think taxes are a necessary evil. Some people say taxes are the work of the Devil, primarily conservative Republicans. However, these same people think a free-market system with no checks and balances is perfectly okay. So, essentially what you have is a few huge corporations wielding enormous power and running about the earth exploiting and plundering at will. They don't want to be regulated, taxed or governed. To them everything can be settled through the doctrine of laissez-faire.

Well, our world is absolutely polluted to the core. These multi-national companies have no allegiance to the country that bore their success. And they
don't want to pay their share of taxes. However, they want subsidies and sweet package deals to "entice" them to setup shop in our states. They don't want to be accountable, but they want all the perks. This country is absolutely morally corrupt. It is all about money and little else. The facade of Democracy is manicured to look as though it is alive and well, when in fact, it is sick and distorted.

I agree with free-market capitalism, but there must be accountability. If half of the richest 1% were to pay their share, the tax burden would be lessened on the middle-class. Instead, the middle class shoulders the tax burden, while the richest of the rich line their pockets and throw the people a bone every once in awhile with so-called "philanthropy." That is not paying your share, that is taking ill-gotten revenues off of the blood, sweat and tears of others.

Granted, the government uses our taxes for evil things, like this war. We are the losers in this war. Bush and the Oilgarchy sell the "War on Terror" like a product. Meanwhile, they are robbing the people of their hard earned money and even that is not enough, once our taxes were throwen into the pockets of a few no-bid contractors pockets and the weapons industry we (America) had to borrow unprecedented amounts of money from China.

I don't believe in taxing people for boondoggle projects and lining the pockets of a few well-off. I do believe in taxes that go towards Health care, Education and Jobs. For all the money we spend on our military, it really doesn't mean anything if you've got poor leadership. We've got the most powerful military in the world, and we cannot subdue a country of less than 30 million people. For all of the countless hundred of billions of dollars spent on the latest and greatest aircraft, submarines and fighting vehicles, it all does nothing without enough trained troops on the ground and a policy of justice, without justice, none of these things will gain us victory. Our nation is revered for its good meaning, when we cease to do good we are just like the Russias and Chinas.

It's pretty crazy no?

I mean, I'm not going to stop paying my taxes, but he provides a pretty compelling argument.

Geez, after watching this it makes me sick to my stomach to think that Ron Paul is the only candidate publicly speaking about it.
