That was 2004 when W was unopposed. So the only people voting in that primary were diehard Bushies, who are the ones most likely to prefer Rudy, Mitt, McCain and Huck. Within the past week there have been three 7% finishes in state polls and two 5%-or-better results in nationwide polling. That's new, and it's surely more than just statistical fluctuation. But it's fair to ask whether it's going to be enough, fast enough. I'm optimistic, especially since many of these polls still reflect results from before all of the publicity that Paul got for his successful November 5 fundraising. Oh, there’s definitely movement.
