Mitt Romney and Young Voters

I recently launched a video blog called Meettheprez.net as my senior project. For the past two weeks, I have been going to campaign events in Iowa and reporting what I observe every day on my website. Well… I’m going to start posting my videos here every day too, but if you get a chance check out my website at Meettheprez.net.
Ok, so I went to two Mitt Romney events last Friday and noticed that the audience was primarily senior citizens. I wondered what Mitt Romney’s campaign has done to reach out to young voters. Here’s what he said when I asked him.
Check out my video tomorrow… Its about ”Caucus Monday” at one of the local bars here in Des Moines. I’m told it’s a bunch of 20 somethings enjoying cocktails and talking about presidential politics. It should be fun.

Mitt Romney is an Iraq war hawk. I don’t care what his message is knowing this fact.

He’s a lot better at the retail politics than he is in debates; he comes across as more natural and human, especially greeting the Iowan “John McCain” in the coffee shop. If he is the nominee I don’t know how that will really help him, though — the general election is all about wholesale, mass-media politics, and there he always seems stiff and formal, overpolished.

Only an attorney would say that Romney. He is as superficial as they come. His liberal backers like Shulman of Michigan is more than enough proof for me to vote else where.
