"And I don’t expect the Huffington Post to have much positive to say about the most competent candidate on the Republican ticket in many years."

Hmmm, perhaps he is competent, but he is a huge liar. Obviously that doesn't bother republicans though.

"Since January 1, 2007, the former Massachusetts governor has spent well in excess of $80 million, including at least $17.4 million of his own money, paying media fees in excess of $30 million, salaries of roughly $16 million, and consulting payments of more than $15 million."

Meanwhile, Ron Paul has grassroots support, people waving their signs and donating money to him. He has won more straw polls than Mitt Romney, has more meet-up groups and YouTube clips. And his campaign has zero debt.

Is Romney we want someone managing the nation's budget? The guy is your typical sleazy used car salesman.

This has been an interesting campaign for both Republicans and Democrats. In a week we will see if Romney's gamble paid off. It seems like a smart strategy to me - better than playing the "how would Jesus vote" card (not that he even had the option), showing up late in the game, or skipping Iowa completely.
