Honesty and impartiality cease to exist aside from the truth. Something largely missing here.
No doubt it’s impossible to find a news outfit that is 100% right (no pun intended) or correct 100% of the time, because they are all made of imperfect individuals, but to denounce Fox News as an “orwellian” organization requires Machiavellian abilities of one’s own. That charge, imho, would more appropriately apply to the alphabet networks that have proven to stop at nothing in order to win an election.

Fox News is the only network where dems, cons and others get to say their piece and are given equal time, without been badgered like at …no names mentioned. That Fair and Balanced is to a fault, at times.

Having said that, would the oracles of truth on this blog, please, illuminate the masses and tell us which news network is worthy of “reporting the facts” without fashioning them in their ideology…CNN? ABC? CBS? MSNBC?

While comparing this post to the previous one about Fox News’ alleged crime, I am reminded of the saying: damn if you do, damn if you don’t.
Not that I am thinking you’ll are prejudiced in any way…not at all.

I know that you love the way Ron Paul pays the bills for you around here, but at least try to understand the quote if you’re going to refer to it.

Your analogy about Dodd, Biden and Richardson doesn’t hold up, because Dr. Paul’s argument is that FOX is cheerleading for the war, and he’s the only anti-war candidate. How does that translate to Dodd, Biden, and Richardson going on CNN?

Can you imagine the outcry if MSNBC, for example, decided to exclude the top Democratic fundraiser from a debate?

Look for a post-’forum’ spin telling us how great Rudy did (they ALWAYS say that even when he stinks up the room, right Frank Luntz?), they’ll talk about how folksy and down-to-earth Mike Huckabee is (Ignoring his numerous faux pas and hateful rhetoric- even if delivered in a ‘folksy’ manner), how ’strong’ John McCain sounded (have to push him- Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes are both good buddies with all the defense contractors making BILLIONS on this insane war!), and surely they will talk about how ‘Presidential’ Fred Thompson appeared (amazing he’s still running- is he still running?).

Overall, It’s amazing that anyone takes FOX News seriously anymore, seeing how they don’t even try to hide their bias, and decry the immorality of American culture just before introducing the next ’spring break gone wild’ videos for the umpteenth time.

Gee… Ron Paul doesn’t look so ‘kooky’ when you look at him next to FOX News coverage of the Presidential race!

Second, CNN had a forum about “faith and politics” and only invited Hillary, Edwards and Obama. Were they afraid of Biden or Dodd or Richardson? No. I agree that Paul should be included in any type of forum they do, but Paul’s original comments came about because he thought he was being left out of the debate, not the forum.

Again, I’m not really too terribly concerned about him being left out of a forum since they’re having a debate the day before. However, you all go ahead and call Fox and try to get him on. But please, do it with a little couth.

It is a debate (forum) only there will not be a live audience.

This is no shout out. There is to be a nationally televised Fox News event on 6 January 2008 from New Hampshire from which Ron Paul – by every standard a competitive candidate and certainly more than some who have been invited – has been excluded. Call it a show, a spectacle, a non-event event, a debate, a roundtable, a square table, a bull session, a chewing of the fat, a meeting of the mindless or whatever semantic title you want to give it. It is a nationally televised phenomenon. It is of the Republican candidates for President of the United States in 2008. It is on 06 January 2008. It is sponsored by Fox. Ron Paul and his message are excluded, and the American people, who are bleeding life, blood and money to ostensibly “promote democracy abroad through the barrel of a gun” are deprived by Fox News of their democracy at home!
