The primary system is broken, has been broken and will continue to be broken. It's a tool for the two-party monopoly. They allow two states with tiny populations to speak for the rest of the country. It's pathetic. Someone should look up the word democratic. Why is it that these two states get to decide what the American electorate wants? Our election system is a sham! Every four years the initial primaries should be held in a different state chose by lottery. Not by money interests.

Essentially all a candidate has to do to win the White House is make promise to corporate America, have the funds roll in and spend those funds in these two states to run expensive, superficial ads while the news outlets (corporate propaganda) tell Americans who the "viable" candidate is. And without fail, America get what it pays for. A corporate lapdog stirring U.S. funds into the laps of the corporations that get them elected.

And most Americans are so uninformed and educated that this system is seen as the "All American" form of democracy. What a fuqen joke!

I'm in agreement with you here Justin re. our nutty primary system, but could you clarify what "regional contests" might look like? Thanks!
