So I was browsing around the internet and I found this music video called "Letters home from the Garden of Stone" or something? I'm not sure why, but the title peaked my interest. I watched it and it totally got to me. The lyrics are words taken from a soldier that is over in Iraq, fighting this war. It's just amazing to hear what this soldier is really thinking. The video also shows real clips, some which are a little disturbing, but definitely an eye opener. I wonder if a video like this would raise controversy or alter peoples views on the war. I don't know..The video link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10ej46Mhshg if you want to watch what I'm talking about.

I remember military leaders saying they just needed more time and troops and money to fix vietnam too. We got out. It was a mess for awhile. lots of brilliant vietnamese moved to america. time passed. now vietnam is pretty pro west.

the learning? military people want military solutions which cost american money and lives. maybe removing the american crutch will force middle easterners to solve a middle eastern problem.

in the meantime, we can put our money into weaning ourselves off oil and improving our contacts with liberal segments of iran.
