Where Does Ron Paul Need To Finish In New Hampshire?

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, New Hampshire, Ron Paul

I won’t beat around the bush here…he needs to place 3rd. If he has ANY shot to get the GOP nomination, that’s where he needs to be.

Why? Well, there is no state out there right now that is more tailor-made for Ron Paul’s strict constitutionalist message. None. Not Nevada, not Wyoming, not Idaho, not even Montana. It’s New Hampshire. End of story.

And a 3rd place finish here would mean he’d probably either beat Huckabee or Romney, which would be big news and would possibly steal headlines from McCain, who will very likely take the top spot.

My guess, though, is that it will be McCain, Romney, Huckabee, Thompson and then Paul. Yep, 5th again. Sure, he’ll beat Giuliani, but that’s not too difficult when Rudy has ignored the state for larger ones later in the primary cycle.

So, after the reality of Iowa, what’s your realistic guess?

    Quotes from Bloomberg Economic News

“Since 1949 the unemployment rate has never risen by this magnitude without the economy being in recession,” John Ryding, chief U.S. economist at Bear Stearns Cos. in New York, said in a note to clients. “We now put ourselves on recession watch.”

Factories have already slowed. ISM’s manufacturing index for last month fell to 47.7, the lowest since April 2003, the purchasers group said this week.

Factory payrolls decreased by 31,000 after falling 13,000 a month earlier. Economists had forecast a drop of 15,000 in manufacturing employment. Builders reduced payrolls by 49,000 after cutting 37,000 jobs in November.

Government payrolls increased by 31,000 during the month, indicating private payrolls declined by 13,000.

Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) — The Federal Reserve will increase the size of two scheduled auctions of emergency loans by 50 percent to $30 billion as part of a global attempt by central bankers to restore faith in the money markets.

    NYT

Of 1,000 owners surveyed nationwide, only 28 percent said they felt economic conditions for their businesses were improving, while 65 percent said conditions were getting worse.

After inching down in recent weeks, average gas prices across the nation rose by 7.3 cents last week to $3.053 per gallon, 71.9 cents higher than the same period last year, the Energy Information Administration reported Wednesday.

    Business Week

“Staying at [the $100] level will mean inflation and economic hardship,” says Fadel Gheit, senior energy analyst for Oppenheimer Holdings (OPY). “The price has nothing to do with fundamentals, but it has a broad impact.”

Here’s a question for you. How many books on economics has your candidate read? How many has he WRITTEN? The best economist in the world can’t convince someone to whom he can’t explain the problem. It looks very like we are headed for a recession or a depression. Before you cast your all-important primary vote, shouldn’t you find out who has the most education on economics? This is not one of those times when you basically get bragging rights. This time, it may make the difference between you keeping your job and house or living on the streets. Remember, if we ALL sink there will be no one to give you welfare. Even people who OWN their house could be dispossessed by incredibly high real estate taxes. I know everyone says he is a long shot, but PLEASE do yourself (and me) a favor and research Dr. Ron Paul. The house you save may be your own.

  2. PK Says:

There is no way he will lose to Thompson. Thompsan is Polling at 2-3% in New Hampshire if he comes in 5th it will be McCain, Romney, Huckabee, Guliani, Paul, Thompson. The current ARG New Hampshire poll has:
    John McCain 35%
    Mitt Romney 25%
    Mike Huckabee 12%
    Ron Paul 9%
    Rudy Giuliani 8%
    Fred Thompson 1%
    Duncan Hunter 1%
    Alan Keyes 1%
I’m hoping that Paul’s supporters will come out in higher percentages and help him surpase Huckabee. Also that Huckabee’s win in Iowa doesn’t give him a surge in NH. So I’m betting McCain, Romney, Paul, Huckabee (a very close 4th), Giulani, then Thompson.

  3. Tony Lambiris Says:

I have a very good feeling Ron Paul will place in the top three. From what I’ve been seeing around here, McCain, Romney and Paul are the top 3 contenders. Huckabee’s “simple folk” demeanor doesn’t pander well to use North-easterners. From attending a few sign-wave’s myself, I can tell you the response has been very positive from people driving by, and that is only in the Manchester area.

During Xmas break I went to my Aunt’s house for dinner, and along the way in passing a bunch of smaller towns, Ron Paul’s signs out-numbered any other candidates at LEAST 3-1. The local gun store and fireworks store both had Ron Paul signs plastered all over. I think this will be a lot bigger than most people thing.

On a side note, my Captcha input is “reversed American”. I wonder if I should take that as a sign?

  4. Tom Says:

In the Iowa entrance polls, Ron Paul got 29% of people who considered themselves Independants. 40% of NH voters are Independants. Assuming the same ratio (which is probably a low assumption) that’s 11.6% of the vote by itself. Another interesting metric was of the paltry 5% of Iowan Republicans who considered themselves angry at the Bush administration, 54% of them voted for Ron Paul. So the burning question becomes, how many New Hampshire Republicans are angry?

  5. realist Says:

Right on Justin, if not 3rd we are out. But consider this, if Ron beats Rudy again, Gulliani can start reading that reading list that ron gave him.

  6. DenisL Says:

After a county by county analysis in Iowa, a few things are clear. Ron Paul always beat Giuliani & Hunter in EVERY county. Ron Paul won 2 delegates & they won none. Huckabee only won 17 delegates. Huckabee won MOST counties & Romney a few. But what I bet you did not know was that Ron Paul came in second in a few counties, & actually WON Jefferson county. McCain & Thompson did not win a single county. In fact I do not think McCain & Thompson came in second in ANY counties. Compared to them he did well.
I also think Ron Paul has a shot at 3rd in NH. And that he will do better than 10% - maybe 15%. That should give him 3rd. McCain and Romney are too far ahead. Ron Paul has put much more effort into NH than he did in Iowa. I think he can beat Thompson, Huckabee, and Giuliani.

  7. Tom Says:

I think that Paul needs third, and I also think he will get it. NH is OPEN, so Paul will get a lot of votes from independents. Based on those polls PK shows, Paul is very close to Huckabee which is definitely within range. Some Iowa polls had Paul at 4% before caucus. If paul can gain 6% in Iowa, he can gain 3% in new hampshire. Even looking at the polls that had paul at 9% in iowa, he still did 1% better, and that is in a closed caucus. Citizens of NH I am sure don’t look to Iowa to tell them who to vote for.

  8. yukon dave Says:

If he does not get 3rd, he should work on getting out the message and send home the troops. Get one of the other candidates to support the message and help that candidate.

  9. Gene Says:

Time to find out if “Live Free or Die” is more than just a license plate. Buy gold, buy silver regardless….and watch the vote counters like a hawk.

  10. Koh Choon Lin Says:

What about taking the top spot?

  11. Tony Says:

I can guarantee that Paul will come ahead of Thompson in NH. Thompson’s NH finish will look similar to Rudy’s Iowa finish.

  12. Ward Ciac Says:

    Here is Professor Ciac’s analysis:

    Iowa 40% dems, 40% reps, 20% indies
RP was polling about 5% of reps, 30% indies.
Say half the 20% indies vote rep, half vote dem.
    (40 * .05 + 10 * .30))/ 50 = 10.0% in Iowa (he got it)

New Hampshire 40% indie, say 30% dems and 30% reps.
RP polling about 8% of reps In NH, say polling at 30% for indies.
Say half the 40% indies vote rep, half vote dem.
    (30 * .08 + 20 * .30))/ 50 = 16.8% in NH

  13. Michael & Donna Says:

Fox News did Mr. Paul and his support team a very big favor by excluding him from their “forums”. This put him in the media spotlight and made people like me take another look at this “irrelevant” candidate. I am now very seriously considering giving my John McCain vote to Paul.

I have taken the time to go to a website called Youtube and watch some videos there. I love this site! There are thousands of videos here about anything you might like to watch, it is an amazing website! I finally get what all of the buzz is about. I have learned much more about all of the candidates and this can be seen right from the persons other speeches and past history! I was never really much of a Mike Huckabee supporter, but was amazed at how decietful he really is. I have found out that we are probably not as much in line with John McCain as we once thought too. It almost broke my heart to see some of the facts as presented on Youtube.

I would encourage anyone who has not gotten familiar with the Youtube website to do so! My wife and I have been watching videos on there since yesterday and are having a hard time turning it off. It could almost take the place of regular TV. There is much more there than just political talk. We are surprized at what we have been missing out on. It helped me to find this very article that I am writing on now.

I had no idea that Ron Paul had that much support and am even more amazed that there has not been more media coverage of this 10 term US Congressman. I seem to learn something different on our new computer everyday. We love this! Take care everyone and thank you for reading our comments. Pass the word around about the youtube site, it is great!

    Mike

  14. TAO Says:

If Ron Paul’s supporters can carry video of McCain talking about being in Iraq for 100 years or even 1000 years, that ought to help him suck votes from McCain. Otherwise I say he will be shoving hard for a tight third. New Hampshire really isn’t as “libertarian” as many people think. It is very much so but, not how it’s been portrayed in the media and by many other people.

  15. Jim S Says:

As I pointed out in another thread, Ron Paul did not receive the votes of 29% of all independents in Iowa. He got that percentage of the independents who chose to caucus with the Republicans. The Democratic caucuses had far more people (Almost twice as many.) and among the independents who caucused with them the big winner was Obama, receiving 41%. In addition to a lower turnout overall the reported percentage of independents caucusing with the Republicans was 13% versus 20% going with the Democrats. So a straight comparison of the numbers of independents in each state is meaningless.

  16. Darren D. Says:

    Jim S.,

You are such a cold shower on a hot night of sex.

    What is your purpose?

You just like to go around and be pessimistic all day. What a life!
You don’t offer anything to the conversation but negativity. What is your stance? Who are you supporting? Why don’t you like Dr. Paul?

    Say something.

  17. realist Says:

lol Leave him darren, he supposedly doesnt like RP, yet here he is in every RP thread. was it a heart break?

  18. R.M. Lyons Says:

I believe Ron Paul will place 3rd, but it heavily depends on the unaffiliated voters and their decisions. For the final tally, it’ll end up something like (the range of percentage in votes in parenthesis):

    1st - John McCain (20% - 25%)
    2nd - Mitt Romney (15% - 20%)
    3rd - Ron Paul (10% - 15%)
    4th - Mike Huckabee (10-% - 15%)
    5th - Fred Thompson (5% - 10%)
    6th - Rudy Giuliani (5% - 10%)
    7th - Duncan Hunter (0% - 5%)

  19. MN Indpendence Party Supporter Says:

In NH, Ron Paul will need a fourth place finish and a good % increase in vote.

If he can pass Rudy (I think he can) that’s good for the 4th place. But, he’ll also need to better the 10% from Iowa by a good amount - say, at least 12% of the total vote.

That gives him the ability to say, “We’re gaining ground - up one spot and a couple percent” and continue on while maybe making Rudy and Fred consider dropping out.

Best, would be a third place and 16/17% finish.

  20. Jim S Says:

It’s amazing how much simple facts that anyone can check hurt the Paulistas. Of course it’s not surprising given that they don’t even understand their own hero’s positions on some things like individual rights.

Why don’t I like Ron Paul? I don’t like the Religious Right and Paul buys into every one of their positions and while he doesn’t support the federal government enforcing them he thinks it’s just fine if the states do. That’s not supporting liberty, it’s just saying that the level of government that gets to limit individual rights should be the states so long as the majority thinks it’s OK to shaft a minority. I’m not impressed.

    Ron Paul on evolution:

I think it’s a theory, the theory of evolution and I don’t accept it as a theory.

He doesn’t even know what a theory means in the world of science? I know an M.D. isn’t a research scientist, but it still does not reflect well on him and makes him seem like just one more Republican panderer to the R.R. or a person too ignorant to be trusted with the Presidency, like the others in the Republican field. And if you’re one of the conspiracy theorists who say the video was edited to make RP look bad, here’s the unedited version.

He doesn’t believe in federal environmental regulation, saying “The people of Texas do not need federal regulators determining our air standards.”. How he expects to persuade pollution from neighboring states to stop at the state line has not been explained.

Here’s Ron Paul on the gold standard question. How appallingly ignorant. First, the Federal Reserve does not print money. Does he really not understand the difference between the Fed and the Mint? Secondly, he speaks of not tracking trade numbers with China because after all, we don’t track that number between states, do we? He says it won’t matter once there is a currency backed by gold. Does he really think that even if he could achieve this goal the rest of the world would go along? Welcome to the non-gold backed Euro becoming the currency of choice for international business while the U.S. economy does not improve because he is wrong on this issue.

Paul is being treated as the Second Coming by a lot of people who either don’t understand his positions or are lying about them and acting extremely self-righteous as they do so. The first post in this thread is a perfect example of what’s wrong with Paul and his supporters. There’s a long list of problems and then the claim that Ron Paul has studied economics and understands how to fix them. But Ron Paul hasn’t studied economics. He has simply read the books of and listened to those economists that conform to his pre-existing ideological beliefs, starting with his belief in Ayn Rand’s philosophy. That’s all. This reflects the lack of understanding that he and his followers bring to several issues and the fact that they are so proud of themselves and unaware of their ignorance is a perfectly good reason to pour cold water on them. Don’t like it? Sorry, but remember that the post that you were reacting to was nothing but a recitation of simple facts that you and the other true believers just don’t like.

  21. Jimmy Says:

Monetary policy. Ron Paul is the only one who has a clue. This country is on it’s way out. Spread yourself to thin and you’re gonna crash. Homeland Security needs an alert level for our economy because it’s on RED!
Wake up America! The Constitution is calling you home!!!

  22. Brian Says:

Michael and Donna, your candidate McCain wants us to stay in Iraq for 100 years. This clip on YouTube already has over 50,000 views. McCain just dug his grave with this statement.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vf7HYoh9YMM

  23. Nunya Business Says:

Uh, sorry but Rudy didn’t IGNORE the state. He spent more time there than Congressman Paul. Yes, it’s always tough to accept a beatdown but the American people have spoken. No more of the same!

  24. Darren D. Says:

    Jim S.

    I’m sorry.

I did not realize you do not have a soul. Too bad.

Evolution…I can not help you there. It’s is not much of a theory. I could go on but you are entitled to your beliefs.

Do you know Dr. Paul’s position on the dreaded Gold Standard?
He would like to introduce a comodity backed currency to compete with the Federal Reserve dollar. Why would this not work? Do you really think the American dollar is the choice of the world now? Please.

No one thinks, Dr. Paul is the second coming. We are proud of him for standing up for liberty. Spin it however you want. Whoever the candidate you are supporting does not. They want to expand government and have me pay for it. Socialism does not work…especially for the poor.

We get that you do not support Dr. Paul. The weird thing is that you blog so much about a candidate you find insignificant. That is kooky.

I have never gone to a Hillary or Giuliani blog.

Sorry, I have to go and catch a plane. I’m visit some of my ape family in Africa who haven’t quite finished the evolution process.

  25. Justin Gardner Says:

Folks, the reason evolution is a theory is because it stands up to scientific scrutiny. And in science, the word “theory” applies to very solid science.

How does something become a theory? Well, one person purposes a hypothesis from his/her observations and then other scientists go about trying to see if their hypothesis stands up to scrutiny. Darwin made the hypothesis of evolution and the reason it has become such a strong cornerstone of science is that many other scientists have verified its validity in their own work.

In any event, have fun in Africa Darren. I hear it’s lovely this time of year. And while you’re at it, you might want to asks some scientists about the research into the relationship between apes’ 24 chromosomes and our 23.

  26. Jim S Says:

I had a number of responses that I thought of to what Darren claimed as opposed to what is real. But Darren isn’t worth it, frankly. To any others reading this who are capable of reason and learning keep in mind that there is no such thing as a Federal Reserve dollar. Dollars are issued by the United States government and printed by the mint. Yet you’ll hear this error perpetuated not only by Ron Paul’s followers but by the man himself.

As for why I write about him when a thread concerning him pops up here and elsewhere, well, somebody reading has to not be a blind follower like Darren and so many others. Maybe they’ll learn something from the facts as opposed to the claims of his true believers.

  27. Darren D. Says:

    Jim S. -

What is your definition of a blind follower?

Are you actually implying that I have not researched Dr. Paul’s positions thoroughly?

Do you think I agree with him on everything?

I know that is the propaganda you propose about Dr. Paul supporters. Yet you refuse to comment about the candidate in your corner. I find that interesting, but normal for cowards such as yourself.

Justin - You will never be able to convince me at all about evolution. We all came from the same cell? Give me a break. Creation makes way more sense. I highly doubt Darwin would even believe in evolution today.

Hold on, my dog wants to tell you something, once he gets off the cell phone with the tree out back. You see I have evolution run amuck at my house…nevermind we’ll have to get back to you my cat took off with the truck.

  28. Jim S Says:

    Darren,

Your stupidity knows no bounds. Who says I’ve made up my mind already on one candidate? Are you actually incapable of understanding that it is entirely possible to still be weighing various candidates?

Do I think that you have not researched Ron Paul’s positions? No, I don’t. You’re not bright enough to evaluate opposing positions on these issues. You’ve proven that over and over again. Stupid is as stupid says, Darren, and I don’t need to have propaganda about Ron Paul supporters so long as idiots like you keep posting to prove how pathetic they are.

Of course creation makes more sense to you. It’s a simple answer for a simple mind and you’ve proven that you have that.

  29. Darren D. Says:

    Jim S. says

” stupidity, incapable, not bright enough, Stupid is as stupid says, idiots like you, pathetic, simple answer for a simple mind.”

That’s intelligent. Good job. Like I said, you have nothing to offer to the conversation but negativity.

You have never stated that you are still weighing various candidates.
I don’t believe that statement though. For someone who has such strong misguided opinions, I would bet you have formulated an opinion on who you are voting for.

Just curious, on the evolution debate, do more people in this country side with me or you? I know, we are all idiots. Only Jim S and Justin are smart enough to know how we were created.

Please help me with this…and be sure to explain it in simple terms to me so I can understand.

How does the population of the earth work? When I was a kid there was less than 4 billion people on the earth, now there is almost 7 billion. Scientists say that the earth reached 1 billion people in 1804. So in 200 years the earth has grown by almost 6 BILLION people. Yet in the millions of years of existense before then it only made it to one billion?
If you do the math, that makes no sense. We have birth control and abortion now and can not stop the population explotion, but they could for hundreds of thousands of years with out controls?

Why did it take so long to develop meaningful technology? Virtually nothing developed for hundreds of thousands of years and then all of a sudden 5000 years ago people became smart enough to start documenting existence? Interesting curve.

  30. Darren D. Says:

    One more thing Jim S.,

You made this interesting observation earlier,

“To any others reading this who are capable of reason and learning keep in mind that there is no such thing as a Federal Reserve dollar. Dollars are issued by the United States government and printed by the mint.”

Jim - Please feel free to remove ANY denomination of US currency out of your wallet and read to us what it says on the top front of every bill.

In all capital letters, “FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE”

Care to revise your statement, counselor.

  31. ex-SOMA Guy Says:

    Jim S.,

    First of all:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Reserve_Note

Secondly, the Federal Reserve DOES “create” money. They do so through daily open market operations with the money center banks.

  32. Jim S Says:

It’s hard to believe that there’s anything simple enough for you to understand, but I’ll try.

Homo sapiens sapiens has not existed for millions of years. It’s more like approximately 200,000 years. There have been obstacles in the way of population growth like ice ages, droughts, other natural disasters and disease. Agriculture wasn’t invented until between 8 and 10,000 years ago, meaning that cultures before then were hunter-gatherers and those cultures simply can’t support large populations. They also can’t support the kind of dedicated artisans that lead to technological innovations. Heck, they don’t even develop alphabets and systems of mathematics because they just don’t need them. It’s a good general rule that if you can’t write things down and perform calculations you’re not going to be making any real breakthroughs in science. You’re not even going to develop the concept. Even after the development of agriculture there were barriers to a continued growth of population. Ever hear of the Black Death? Even lacking a major plague as recently as the middle part of the Nineteenth Century the rate of infant mortality in the United Kingdom, one of the most advanced nations of the time, was over 150 per 1000 births. This doesn’t count stillbirths, just live births. Then there were still other diseases to claim the very young and vulnerable as well as adults once they did get past infancy. When all of this is combined it’s not all that surprising that population did not grow that quickly for a very long time. Consider that the two billion mark was reached in 1930 and that number has tripled in the decades since. What happened? Here’s a clue. Penicillin was re-discovered by Fleming in 1928. It’s called modern medicine. As far as our failure to control overpopulation, there wasn’t any recognition of it as a problem until fairly recently and no real organized attempt to deal with it until well after that. The pill was only invented in the middle of the 20th century and didn’t begin to be readily available until the ’60s. Also, there were actual laws banning all forms of contraception in parts of the world, including the United States. So far as I know, Ron Paul would support the rights of the states to maintain laws like that since the basis on which Griswold v. Connecticut was decided resembles Roe v. Wade and he does not believe in a right to privacy. Also, in the industrialized West most countries have stopped runaway population growth and almost all growth is in poorer, developing countries. Generally as their economies improve and human rights situations improve, population growth slows.

The collapse of civilizations as in Classical Greece and Rome does not exactly do wonders for the continuity of knowledge that helps develop science. Some forms of religion don’t support the advance of human knowledge and the influence of religion throughout history cannot be underestimated. In a way parts of the scientific method were discovered by earlier civilizations but what we currently think of as the modern scientific method wasn’t really developed until the 17th and 18th centuries. That’s when things really took off.

You choose not to know things, Darren. You are comfortable with ignoring science in favor of your religious beliefs and your obvious ignorance. You choose ignorance in preference to knowledge that doesn’t offer simple answers. And yes, lots of Americans make that same choice. Easy answers make people feel good. Even doctors like Ron Paul in large part don’t actually study critical thinking because they aren’t planning on being researchers and medical school is enough of a grind. I would say that it’s not my problem, but it is the country’s problem since the future lies with those capable of true critical thinking and you and those who agree with you aren’t counted in that group.

  33. Jim S Says:

You are correct about the Federal Reserve Note notation. But in a way both of us are wrong. They don’t make it simple. From the United States Treasury:

Question What are Federal Reserve notes and how are they different from United States notes?

Answer Federal Reserve notes are legal tender currency notes. The twelve Federal Reserve Banks issue them into circulation pursuant to the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. A commercial bank belonging to the Federal Reserve System can obtain Federal Reserve notes from the Federal Reserve Bank in its district whenever it wishes. It must pay for them in full, dollar for dollar, by drawing down its account with its district Federal Reserve Bank.

Federal Reserve Banks obtain the notes from our Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP). It pays the BEP for the cost of producing the notes, which then become liabilities of the Federal Reserve Banks, and obligations of the United States Government.

Congress has specified that a Federal Reserve Bank must hold collateral equal in value to the Federal Reserve notes that the Bank receives. This collateral is chiefly gold certificates and United States securities. This provides backing for the note issue. The idea was that if the Congress dissolved the Federal Reserve System, the United States would take over the notes (liabilities). This would meet the requirements of Section 411, but the government would also take over the assets, which would be of equal value. Federal Reserve notes represent a first lien on all the assets of the Federal Reserve Banks, and on the collateral specifically held against them.

Federal Reserve notes are not redeemable in gold, silver or any other commodity, and receive no backing by anything This has been the case since 1933. The notes have no value for themselves, but for what they will buy. In another sense, because they are legal tender, Federal Reserve notes are “backed” by all the goods and services in the economy.

And here’s what Wikipedia says about the Federal Reserve Note.

  34. Darren D. Says:

Jim - Thank you for information that I have already seen at Wikipedia. Including your disertation on the population flow. Just because Wikipedia references you to someone who explains those patterns doesn’t mean it is fact. Here is the link you plagiarized from:

    http://www.globalchange.umich.edu/globalchange2/current/lectures/human_pop/human_pop.html

Thank you for posting more proof that I was completely correct about the Federal Reserve Notes.

You are funny, you say “But in a way both of us are wrong.” Then you post an article that states my point exactly.

Please in the future if you are going to steal other peoples research at least give them credit by posting the link.

I would be cautious when repeatedly calling someone ignorant and stupid while at the same time telling everyone in a definitive statement,

“To any others reading this who are capable of reason and learning keep in mind that there is no such thing as a Federal Reserve dollar. Dollars are issued by the United States government and printed by the mint.”

    That doesn’t look very good.

You state, “You choose not to know things, Darren. You are comfortable with ignoring science in favor of your religious beliefs and your obvious ignorance.”

Great assumption on my “religious beliefs”. I do not belong to a religion.

Science is completely on the Bible’s side…not yours. I ignore nothing.

Be careful what you post next…I am ready.

  35. Jim S Says:

Actually I never even saw that link. There are in fact many sources for the information I relayed. Referencing good research is not plagiarizing even if it is not directly cited unless you claim to have done the original research yourself and I made no such claim. You don’t even know what plagiarism is. Let’s see, you claim to not belong to a religion even as you loudly proclaim that the only way the earth and human life could have come into being is the way the Old Testament of the Bible, the holy book of Judaism and Christianity, says it happened if you insist on reading it literally. Yes, rejecting knowledge because you just don’t like it is willful ignorance and your possession of that characteristic is the only thing you are ready to do. Because I notice that in fact you said absolutely nothing to really prove your claim. Not one thing.

It is true that I was wrong about the Federal Reserve Note issue. But my claim to you being partially wrong as well was simply based in the fact that while it is a Federal Reserve Note, the authority of the Fed to issue them was explicitly granted by Congress and they work in concert with the Treasury Department. That’s all.

Enough. You are a waste of time and I doubt anyone else is still reading this.

My original statement, that you jumped all over, was:

“He would like to introduce a comodity backed currency to compete with the Federal Reserve dollar. Why would this not work? Do you really think the American dollar is the choice of the world now?”

You are now trying to save face. Good luck.

    1. the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work.
    2. something used and represented in this manner.

I would say that was the correct word.

As for me being “a waste of time”. I can see that by the fact you keep coming back for more.

I am willing to call a truce for now. Next time try to be a little more civil.
