The reality is regardless as to how good you or I think Paul would do in the white house, he cannot/willnot be elected.
The republican bid is out.
The Independent bid will receive about 8-13%

That is not to say we should not still support the man, or do what we can to spread the word, a convert for Paul is a mind changed in terms of the war and economic policy- but its just not realistic.

To me there is no other candidate still around (with Dennis K out and Mike Gravel basically having been pushed out) that is truly worthy of our votes. Ron Paul is the only candidate who speaks the truth always. He is the only candidate who truly believes in civil liberties. He is the only anti-war candidate. Vote For Ron Paul If You Believe In Liberty & Peace!

Before counting Congressman Paul out, you need to remember that he has served Congress for 20+ years in a top position, writing proposals and getting them passed by the very people you are concerned about.

What people need to realize, is that anything Dr. Paul sets out to change, his research and presentatins speak truth and conviction…he has all the facts to back him up. He couldn’t, and wouldn’t even attempt changing this country if he didn’t have the solutions. That’s one of the reasons we see Dr. Paul becoming so popular.

When people actually stop for a moment to listen, & look at his accomplishments and his sound plans for the future, Democrats even change parties to vote for him (like myself). One of the biggest problems we see, is getting people to understand that the Dr’s visions aren’t just pipedreams pulled out of the sky…they are an accumulation of years of strong research with experts in the fields of Economy. Foreign Relations, War, National Sovereignty and so on. All of his proposals & bills are online at the Congress’s website, and also in the online Ron Paul Library -(http://www.ronpaullibrary.org/index.php). Not one of the other candidates have this experience behind them.

When looking through his writings, one will see that he has been consistant throughout the years in his vision for the United States. It’s clear he doesn’t flip-flop on his views just to win votes, nor cater to the special interests. Unfortunately, the media’s blackout, their smears, & vote-tampering, have hindered Dr. Paul’s exposure to the people that need his message.

I know few men that I can call a true patriot, but Ron Paul is the very essence of that dying breed. My vote goes to Dr. Paul because I know I can trust what he says. No other candidate possesses that integrity.

Ron Paul would make a superior President. He has the strength not to accept “bribes” from special interest or lobby groups. He has the courage of his convictions based on our Constitution. The Constitution is the only thing that makes this country different, and keeps this country free, if we abide by it. Don’t try to pick the winner before the race, like in a horse race or something. This man deserves the Presidency as he is honest, has a workable economic plan in writing, and he can bring us peace and prosperity. No other candidate can do that. He also came in second in Nevada and LA, and no few know that because of the media blackout. Which should tell you something.

The current Bush was an incredibly divisive president, yet he worked with “democrats and republicans” in Texas. He compromised on every Republican ideal. What makes divisions in Washington isn’t different ideas.

Kabster, if you had read my post instead of scanning it for something to get OVERLY EXCITED WITH WAY TOO MANY CAPS AS PAUL SUPPORTERS TEND TO DO, you would have noticed that I said a “total” blackout.
Like it or not, Paul has had major media outlet exposure. That’s why I had something to read everyday on Google news. I feel like I haven’t read anything except Nolan Chart and USA daily for a week.

McCain, Huckabee, and Romney have mass audience appeal with views center of the road enough, and they play the political game. Paul doesn’t have middle of the road views, and won’t play the game. Thats why he is where he is.

And for the love of god, find your own way to say something, stop repeating the same old Paulite mantra, it gets tiring - especially to us “sane” paul supporters.

Erik, If your just beginning to see a Paul blackout trend. (where have you been?) There is a complete media blackout on Mr. Paul. It has been that way from the start.
Gee I was always under the impression that the media was supposed to be the checks and balance for the government. I can see that was an incorrect impression.
The media is THE MOST BIASED RIGHT WING group of all.

Where are the TRUE REPORTERS ?

There are a lot of people that have yet to hear of Ron Paul and the man has raised more money in private donations than any other candidate in history.
If (insane) McKain, Romney, Hucklbee or any other republican other than Ron Paul had a campaign blimp. You can bet your worthless dollars. that would be headline news.

THE MASS MEDIA IS AS CORRUPT AS THE PEOPLE RUNNING THIS COUNTRY.

But his supporters are the crazy ones ?

He may not be able to convince Washington to get rid of the federal reserve, but don’t think there aren’t elements in the financial market who would like to see an end to fiat and a return to gold.
The point is moot seeing as RP won’t be elected (regardless of his upcoming independent run).
Its a shame that the economy is NOW becoming the hot topic - if Paul had been labeled as the “economist” that he is, instead of the anti-war republican, I think we would see his numbers going up instead of down.

As a Paul supporter (but not a crazy one!) I do wonder what happened to his mass media exposure. A daily habit of mine is checking the google news for paul, and I have noticed a total, and I mean TOTAL blackout of paul. There hasn’t been a mention in any major media outlet since Paul’s “win” in Nevada/Louisiana. And those mentions were begrudging ones…

Side note #2: I’ve noticed another trend - national polling/FLA polling seems to show a strong trend up for McCain/Romney, and a down line for everyone else. Has it become truly a 2 horse race?
