Interesting that Ron Paul might have been ahead in Washington. From the beginning, the press brainwashed the public to believe the race was between McCain and Romney. They got all the coverage, and Huckabee and Paul were just dismissed. Even when Huckabee won the first primary, CNN wrote it off as a fluke and gave him very little coverage.

I think McCain pulled out ahead, not so much because people were voting for him, as that they were voting against Romney. They believed the press and thought McCain was the only one who could beat Romney. Now they are finding out there are other choices and they are voting for them.

Of course, now, CNN is telling us over and over that it is mathematically impossible for Huckabee to win (not true). Why not just let us have our vote? Also, why do they keep dissing Huckabee for not dropping out? I haven’t heard anyone criticize Paul for not dropping out.

Spokane County with 90% reported has Ron Paul with 46%, Huckabee 20%, McCain 15%, Romney 9%, Uncommitted 10%

My particular caucus location (N.Spokane County) had 11 delegates for Paul, 9 for Huckabee and 2 for McCain.

2 candidates that are not “supposed” to do well…doing quite well in a big state? Can’t have that, can we….

I am sick and tired of all of the unethical things that have been done during this election. I am sick and tired of the Republican party leaders. Where are our officials on stepping forward and standing up for whats right?

Since when does a republican chairman call the win when 87% have reported and the two candidates are a mere 200 votes a part?

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR NATION!!!!!!!

WE WANT TO BE AMERICANS LIVING IN A FREE COUNTRY!

GO OUT AND VOTE FOR HUCKABEE, THE RICH AND POWERFUL ARE TRYING TO STOP HIM FROM GETTING TO THE WHITE HOUSE.

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THEIR EFFORTS!!!!!!

My precinct in Colville Wa was packed with over 120 people, double the normal turnout. It was a very strong showing for Ron Paul. I feel sure he won the the precinct by a large amount. While watching the returns on CNN that evening they showed 37% of the precincts reporting and had only Stevens County hilighted, where Colville is located. I doubt if Stevens County would be 5% of the state by population. At that point they showed McCain at 26% Huchabee 24% and Paul 21% and it never changed all evening. Local Spokane TV News has reported Ron Paul won there with 49%. Something smells bad here in Washington State where we have a history of this type of thing.

I voted in the Wash Republican caucus yesterday. In my county, Cowlitz, Romney, Huckabee and Paul was the finish. I also noticed Clark County(Vancouver area, close to Portland) with Ron Paul winning, Huckabee second, Romney. Walla Walla, McCain, Paul, Huckabee. Not sure why McCain would be declared the winner if there is this much disparity between results.

The Washington State Coordinator for the Ron Paul campaign today sent out an email saying:

“By our very preliminary count from you reports it is looking like we have at least twice the delegates as the other candidates!!”

Everything I have seen tells me that Ron Paul won WA. The results being released are nothing more than straw poll data from sign-in sheets and do not indicate the delegates elected which is what matters.

Folks when one bucks the power establishment who feel they control the GOP and then the grass roots say something different, then the establishment starts playing games.
This also happened in Louisiana and perhaps California AND now Washington.
We really do need to keep an eye on the process. It has been many years since it mattered and there have been close and contested primarys. The old folks new to watch out. We are re-learning it.
Computers, which are subject to hacking and manipulation, make this process all the more difficult when there are no paper ballots to recount.
