Charisma aside, will Obama be able to argue “judgement” over “experience”?

I think it’s likely that he will because McCain’s positions are basically more of the same. His health care proposals depend solely on the same things Republicans have been saying the entire time that things have gotten worse. Everyone knows that his Iraq and foreign relations policies put him foursquare on a continuation of the Bush administration and he’s promised the same on Supreme Court nominees and pandering to the social conservative wing of the Republican party. What judgment does any of that display on McCain’s part?

Obama voted “present” on the most controversial and politically important bills sent through the Illinois state legislature as well as the Senate. He doesn’t even make judgments. He makes eloquent speeches.

The “judgement” route is a bad idea for BHO. Any smart opponent will quickly point out that sound judgement comes from experience, and BHO would then be backed into a logical corner, perhaps trying to redefine “judgement.” BHO is better off relying on his strengths, which is charisma. You can’t argue with charisma, it just “is.”
