Jackie Robinson would have been appropriate. You don’t have to like Hillary (and I, personally, was for Obama partly because he wasn’t Hillary), but you do have to admit she’s gone where no women has gone before. Heck Ty Cobb wouldn’t have been terrible — he was frequently accused of extreme sleaziness, made it to the World Series several times, but never won. If you had to go with a woman there was an entire league of them during WW2.

Now, whether you think the card is sexist or not is up to you. Personally, I think making Hillary the sexpot bimbo is sexist when compared with the pairings of her male presidential counterparts. In fact, I think it’s obviously sexism, but we all have our own gauge of such things.

But the idea that Upper Deck supposedly thought the card was bad enough to pull it, but then hired a PR firm to try and get bloggers to push the story that the card that they pulled is now rare (yeah, duh, you pulled it!) is just plain dumb.

To Butch’s point, if Upper Deck made Obama and Rudy fans in the stands reaching out to catch a ball, that would have been appropriate. Or hell, they could have made her a player. Who cares? ANYTHING other than Morganna.
