Better than Huckabee. Or any of the other social cons. Adds economic strength to the ticket. Probably placates the talking heads. He could do better but he could do worse. I’d really like to see him go for broke and pick another RINO.

I am very upset over talk that Sen. McCain should select a woman as his running mate, just based on the fact that the candidate is a woman! The candidate who is the most ethical, inspiring, conservative and driven should be selected, and that is Gov. Sarah Palin (yes I know, she is a she).

It could be placating the Old Guard - but my honest opinion is that no one wants to run as VP with McCain except Romney or that other guy from Hope, AK. The reality is that the Rep’s will be crushed this fall - and the “new” Rep leaders and the “fresh-young” faces don’t want any part of it. The Rep’s have no bench….no depth….and no talent. They are staring into the abyss………….isn’t that great?
