Eliot Spitzer Resigns

In case you missed the wall-to-wall coverage on every news channel, here’s the story. Even though I didn’t always agree with Spitzer, I’m sorry to see this. He inspired a lot of people. His fall will just add to the general cynicism many have towards politics and politicians.

Poor Spitzer. Sleaze and hypocrite, though he was, no one should have their privacy so violated by the government that making a legal bank transaction and having a mutually consentual relationship should get him in legal trouble. His reckoning should be between him and his family.
