You&#039;re being far too nice about this. The Iraq invasion was always going to be a strategic clusterfuck, even a quick glance at the &quot;Powell Doctrine&quot;, let alone reading any military strategy or history would have indicated this. 

So of course there was never going to be a &quot;shared burden&quot; across the USA - why should those who saw was likely to happen (and were absolutely correct) should accept any burden for the incompetence of the fools who got the USA into this morass?</description>
