That is why I provide a link, Pug. Yes, the Church is in a community with real problems and I suggest they don't do that community any favors by condemning "middle classness" and assimilation into middle classness.

Also see how even their reference to God is self-serving. "God of our weary years" -- every aspect of this church is viewed through a prism of victimhood and blame whitey first.

You want racial bravery, it is Bill Cosby. What a sad joke.

@Daleesp

calling her typical is hardly racist, typical derives from stereotypical, which is something we all have, we all have stereotypes, that was something that Obama's speech covered, but having stereotypes doesn't make a person a racist

Anyone who cares to click on the link will find that Dos has cherry picked on part he doesn't like. Here's what he left out:

Commitment of God

“The God of our weary years” will give us the strength to give up prayerful passivism...

Commitment to the Black Community

The highest level of achievement for any Black person must be a contribution of substance to the strength and continuity of the Black Community.

Commitment to the Black Family

The Black family circle must generate strength, stability, and love despite the uncertainty of externals...

Dedication to the Pursuit of Education

We must forswear anti-intellectualism.

Adherence to the Black Work Ethic

High productivity must be a goal of the Black workforce.

Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect

To accomplish anything worthwhile requires self-discipline.

Sure. it's Afro-centric, but it is hardly hateful. In fact, it outlines some very admirable goals. This church is in a community with real problems. Promoting the ideas above would certainly help.

Why not be honest, Dos?

The Black Value System
http://www.tucc.org/scholarship_pdf/black%20value%20system.pdf

Well, I wonder if BHO ever read "The Black Value System" - product of the church he has belonged to for 20 years, was married in and had his kids baptized in...

Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness”
Classic methodology on control of captives teaches that captors must keep the captive ignorant educationally, but trained sufficiently well to serve the system. Also, the captors must be able to identify the “talented tenth” of thos sujegated, specially those who show promise of providing the kind of leadership that might threaten the captor’s control.

Those so identified as separated from the rest of the people by:

Killing them off directly, and/or fostering a social system that encourages them to kill of one another.

Placing them in concentration camps, and/or structuring an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons.

Seducing them into a socioeconomic class system which wile training them to earn more dollars, hypnotizes them into believing they are better than others and teachs them to thing in terms of “we” and “they” instead of “us.”

So, while it is permissible to chase “middle-incomeness” with all our might, we must avoid the third separation method – the psychological entrapment of Black “middleclassness”: If we avoid the snare, we will also diminish our “voluntary” contributions to methods A and B. And more importantly, Black people no longer will be deprived of their birthright, the leadership, resourcefulness, and example of their own talented persons.

Well, there you have, the U.S. economic system is a intentionally designed to keep the black man down and is on moral parity with concentration camps, such as Nazis or maybe Stalin.

And please note, BHO is the birthright, his presidency no doubt, of the entire Black Community.

Now Senator Obama is speaking as a racist would?

Here is a quote taken from a Philadelphia radio station from Senator Obama:

"The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person who, uh, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, there's a reaction that's been bred into our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way and that's just the nature of race in our society. We have to break through it."

His Grandmother is a typical white person??? Senator Obama’s use of words reminds me of Pat Robertston would say about various minority races.

It will probably trend more in favor of Obama over time especially as more people see Obama's speech, I know of quite a few people who haven't gotten around to watching it yet.
