Hillary’s Team Demands Obama Release His Tax Returns

This is pretty funny. Hillary spokesperson Phil Singer blasted out an email at 11:23 insisting that Obama release his tax returns for back years,Exactly two minutes later, at 11:25, Obama spokesperson Tommy Vietor emailed out word that Obama had posted his tax returns for 2000-2006 on his campaign web site. Turns out the Obama camp has been planning this for some time.
In pure political terms, this will obviously give more political potency to the Obama camp’s efforts to make Hillary’s failure to release her returns a key issue in the campaign. The Obama camp is now free to beat this drum between now and mid-April, when the Hillary camp has promised to release hers.
Reaction from the Clinton camp? Cue crickets…

Anybody else have the feeling that there’s going to be something really interesting in there? Otherwise, why not just release them sooner rather than later?
UPDATE:
TIME says they received the Obama email 2 minutes before they got the Clinton email. And they have a screenshot to prove it.

Oh, there’s definitely something in there, something that will hurt her “I’ve worked the night shift” BS that’s won her the working-class vote.
And 3 days before PA? April 19. The weekend.
Obama, and hopefully the media, should hit her hard.

My guess is that there’s a major problem explaining how the loan to her campaign didn’t run amok of campaign finance laws, since much of the money they’ve made since Bill left office came from foreign investments.
The timing by the Obama camp was a masterstroke- releasing the documents two minutes after she called for it. Brilliant!

I’m trying to get a fun-but-hopefully-effective movement started: the Hillary Clinton Tax Fax. I’ve put her campaign’s main fax numbers (and a link to her state-by-state office finder) at the above link, with instructions. The idea’s for everyone who’s filing their own taxes to make a copy, black out any identifying info, add a “produce your taxes - it’s easy!” type note, and fax it to Hillary.
If you like the idea, please (a) do it, and (b) feel free to circulate the idea, link to my link, etc. (Justin, I won’t complain if you want to do a post pushing it!)

Don’t forget the earmarks. Not everything Obama has released is flattering, but it does set a high standard for openness. Imagine how much less waste in corruption we’d see in Washington if this became standard practice.

You know, this just makes her look more ridiculous each time. How can she demand his returns when she hasn’t even put hers out. Her desperation is beginning to annoy me.

Hillary’s got a problem. The $5 million she seeded to her campaign came from where exactly? That’s the issue - her husband is one of the greatest influence peddlers in American history (a disgrace really). He collects millions in payoffs for his influence - and this money comes from everywhere …. every corporation and government in the world. So how do we know her “money” is legal. How do we know that Clinton isn’t subverting campaign finance laws by funneling campaign comtributions through Bill, through the Clinton foundation, through the Clinton library fund…….this stinks…..alot until proven otherwise!

Indeed! Thank you TC for opening my eyes to the truth! As you say TC - we all need to understand that the Clintons are 100% absolutely without question beyond any reasonable doubt - in the eyes of all of us, totally GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT! Why? well well … BECAUSE!

You’re too sensitive WM….the rules work both ways…and so does the truth…..Just because the Clintons are involved doesn’t mean we can’t change the rules in the middle of the game as they seem to think - that would be unfair wouldn’t it?
