Family Relations

The New England Historic Genealogical Society has released information on the distant family relations of all three presidential candidates. I don’t know how they research this sort of thing, but the society is well-respected and spent three years on this project. The results are superfluous to the campaign but interesting nonetheless. Here are the (distant) relations:

Hillary Clinton
Jack Kerouac
Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau
Camilla Parker-Bowles
Celine Dion
Madonna
Angelina Jolie

John McCain
Scottish King William the Lion
England’s Edward I
France’s Louis VII
Laura Bush
Barack Obama

Barack Obama
John McCain
Lyndon Johnson
Gerald Ford
Harry Truman
Winston Churchill
Robert E. Lee
Brad Pitt
