Gallup: Obama Has “Led” Since March 21st

Gallup is careful to qualify it…

Gallup Poll Daily tracking from April 5-7 shows Obama with an eight percentage point advantage, similar to the 9-point advantage he enjoyed in Monday’s release. Both days rank among Obama’s best to date, with his high-water mark a 10-point advantage in March 27-29 polling. (To view the complete trend since Jan. 3, 2008, click here.)

The real question is whether Obama can sustain an advantage, something he has been unable to do thus far. His best stretch was a four-day run of statistically significant leads spanning March 25-27 through March 28-30 polling, when Clinton came under scrutiny for exaggerating the danger she faced on a trip to Bosnia as first lady.

It’ll be interesting to see if these numbers tighten again after the debate next Wednesday.

Even more important is Obama is ahead of McSame.

After his line of questioning I expect him to go even higher he was the only one that asked the important questions, since we can’t have perfection what is good enough for us to withdraw

How electable is he? Here’s an interesting article on ABC News:

    “We Need More White People”
    April 09, 2008 8:47 AM

At a Michelle Obama event, reporters from the Carnegie-Mellon University student newspaper “observed one event coordinator say to another, ‘Get me more white people, we need more white people.’ To an Asian girl sitting in the back row, one coordinator said, ‘We’re moving you, sorry. It’s going to look so pretty, though.’

“‘I didn’t know they would say, “We need a white person here,”‘ said attendee and senior psychology major Shayna Watson, who sat in the crowd behind Mrs. Obama. ‘I understood they would want a show of diversity, but to pick up people and to reseat them, I didn’t know it would be so outright.’”

(For those who would criticize this blog for relying on a college newspaper, please recall how much the Obama campaign in its TV ads relied upon the support for his health care plan by the college newspaper the Daily Iowan.)

In any case, that Michelle Obama advance staffer just summed up the candidate’s issues in Pennsylvania. They do, indeed, need more white people.

Gallup Polls are a joke! they said he would win texas, Ohio and on and on. Recently, I contacted them for their back up to these polls. They could not produce it! A poll is not too scientific anyway, but to be credible, the data must be looked at. Who are you calling? What is their age, nationality, race and gender? And in what percent? Where are you calling? Are the majority in rural areas or urban areas? What time are you calling? Are they eating dinner, putting the kids to bed, so what time..meaning who is talking to you? When you cannot produce back up, a poll is not as goos as the paper it is written on. And I have also researched some of the other “polls”. And the findings are pretty questionable. Additionally, I see with Reuters and others using the Zogby poll. Well, John Zogby, the owner of Zogby polls, endorsed Obama. Do you trust this poll? At times, Zogby would have Obama 10 points ahead when others has Clinton and Obama tied or 2 points either direction. Any poll that skewed from the others should have been tossed out. But it was not. Instead, Real Clear Politics used it with their “averages” to give an end result showing Obama leading by 4 points or so! So who trusts these polls? They are now being used to sway voters to vote for Obama, as he is winning anyway. And these polls started this nonsense in January. So the bottom line is this…if these polls show Obama leading, as they did in Texas, Ohio, California and others and now Pennsylvania…then count on it as wrong and Clinton is ahead! And who is polling Florida? She still leads my a landslide. As she does in Pennsylvania. VOTE HILLARY CLINTON! The only candidate that truly cares about ALL Americans and will fight for the right of ALL Americans!

Well Texas Democrat, I guess we’ll see, eh?

By the way, Obama is up by 10 today in the Gallup poll. I guess these 19 days have just been a fluke.
