I do see them as finding excuses for Hillary and keeping her propped up long after the common agreement is that she cannot win the nomination. The chattering class has been pissed off at Obama alot. They keep declaring his campaign dead because he doesn't act like other pols and does not mouth the silly conventional wisdom as they know it. Then he goes and make them look foolish by the public agreeing with his supposed 'gaffes'. These 'gaffes' are declared thus because they are different from their beloved cw. But, they are simply so angry that he keeps defying it and the public keeps ignoring them and taking his side. Even with the debate. Most voters think he won while the media - again - says he was wrong and failed. The backlash toward the tradional media is going to be ugly.
