The best I can tell, McCain has spent his entire working life, or mighty close to it, on one government payroll after another — helped along in recent years by a very wealthy wife. Obama grew up in a less-than-affluent family, went to school on scholarships and his earnings. Then, he worked in the private sector, more than a little of it in personal contact with the very poor.
