The silver lining here is that Wright’s latest round didn’t tank Obama. It dinged him, but he’s holding his own. Given the level of uproar in the media, and among some people I’ve talked to, you think he would have lost more than this in the polls. Net: The appeal of his common sense, no-nonsense approach will survive this trial and eventually, those numbers will creep back up there — especially if he manages to hold on to NC … AND win Indiana. A tall order right now, but we still have time.
