Obama Adds Oklahoma Superdelegate
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, Democrats, Hillary, Super Delegates!!!TPM says this time it’s Kalyn Free, a member of the DNC from Oklahoma.
That puts the totals at 258 supers for Obama and 276 for Hill.
Also, I made a mistake of not adding former DNC Chair Joe Andrew’s name to the list of Hillary losses. I had thought he merely supported Hillary before and hadn’t declared for anybody, but he was a super.
What this means is that post-Pennsylvania superdelegate pickups are now 21 for Obama and 11 for Clinton. Unless she starts outpacing him 2 to soon, he’s likely to keep widening this gap until it’s impossible to make up. Remember, there are less than 300 supers left to convince.
UPDATE: Culture Kitchen has Free’s official statement.
