Thanks for the clarification. Didn't know that. Honestly, my first comment was intended to be a sarcastic joke - although I did not note it that way.

Democrats Abroad only get half of a delegate? Out of well over 4049 total? Hahahah. And that 4049 is the DNC's and Obama's opinion of the total. Hillary's idea of the total number has shifted several times, but I believe the current total is 4417.

Talk about discrediting a candidate, hijacking a nomination process and dividing a party....anything to "win"!!

@Rich: While you may be right about the Democratic primary being a dog and pony show, your assessment of the "half a delegate" is off the mark.

<a href="http://donklephant.com/2008/05/06/hillary-gets-half-a-superdelegate/" rel="nofollow">She was endorsed by the superD from Democrats Abroad. That position gets just half a vote at the convention.</a>

Granted, it's still goofy. But it's not because a single superD split his vote.

Beka, You are talking about Dems....that's how. If the superdelegate puts half a vote to Obama and half to Clinton, he/she is on the winning side either way it turns out! It's not about principles, it's about political positioning.

The simple fact that all but one "superdelegate tally" show Clinton with the lead, while the "voted" delegates and popular vote are in Obama's favor shows how un-democratic the Democrat Party is and how much comtempt they have for the public. A "superdelegate" (member of the party elite) has the same power as tens of thousands of voters (take the total number of voters in the Dem primaries and divide it by the number of delegates that represent them) but superdelegates are not accountable to the voting public.....AND DEMS DON'T SEE A PROBLEM WITH THIS!!!! And they think it's fair and a good idea!!! And the media and Democrat rank-and-file don't call them out on it!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Democratic Primaries are a dog-and-pony show just to make those they feign to represent feel like they have a say. They really don't care about you. At least they are honest in telling voters from MI and FL that they don't care about their opinions. They are lying to the rest of the country....

Half superdelegates are from territories like Guam and the Dems Abroad primary I believe.

Here's another count, because we shouldn't discredit Wikipedia.
