mw, it’s getting to the point where even China and the Saudis (our 2 best friends according to the republicans) won’t buy our worthless paper anymore. The cartoon needs a few corrections.

First, it needs two more figures - one representing the Chinese government as a banker, and another a child representing the next generation of Americans.

Uncle Sam should be getting the $1 bill from the Chinese banker (who is funding our national debt by buying our bonds), and the Chinese banker is extracting the $5 from pockets of the next generation (who will be paying off the expansion of the national debt created by the stimulus nonsense).
