I agree with buffet fan, I don't think warren Buffet particularly favors any party or politician, there was no real standout at the the time, except maybe Ron Paul. To date I don't think Obama has done that bad, but of course he could have done a lot better, even Barack Obama has succumbed to the pressure of lobbyists which is a real disappointment.

I look forward to the next US election, even though I live in Australia.

I think he's not for either party knowing that each party will inevitably succumb to the lobbyists. Rather he looks at the individual and gauges leadership qualities independent of party politics.

I believe Warren Buffet sees that Obama will attempt to distance himself more and more from party politics and commercial lobbyists, but Warren Buffet also knows that at the same time the odds are stacked against Obama.

I didn't get the last line either, he has always been for more Democratic policies than any GOP ones. He is for the estate tax, thinks the rich don't get taxed enough and it's easy to get around taxes. Believes government should not be in the business of gambling. He believes it is a tax on ignorance (although many GOP don't like gambling either).

Buffett's frugal with his money but he's never been a Republican. The Right could learn a thing or two from the guy, though.

I could be wrong, but I though Buffet was always a rather progressive guy. I doubt he was ever a Republican.
