believe that Bill Richardson should become the Secretary of State and not the VP. This way Obama can choose a southerner such as Web and still have the Hispanic vote which will guarantee him wins in NM, CO. and Nevada. Web can bring in VA. Obama will not need Ohio or Florida.

The lobbyist problems the Daschles have would be too much of an obstacle for the Obama campaign. Daschle would be a great chief-of-staff in an Obama administration, though.

Tom Daschle is considered baggage-free? I must be wrong, your bio of him certainly makes me rethink my position, but my initial thought when I saw his name was “Didn’t he step down as Majority leader because of some impending scandal?”
