While Obama ran raise both percentages there is no way he can increase the white vote by 9%. And while Obama can get non-traditional Democrat states, he will have a harder time in states where Clinton would have given McCain a tougher battle. These states also carry much more electoral votes, states like OH 20, FL 27, and MI 17 (a state which hasn't gone GOP in years is now in play). While Obama will have to switch many more states if McCain wins all three of those. While Obama is working with a 50 state strategy, McCain is going for a 5 state strategy (MI, OH, PA, FL, NH).
