A lot of states are in play for both candidates that never were in 2000 and 2004.

It’s going to be one hell of an election.

    I think the analysts are failing to account for one major factor. Obama is simply a better campaigner and speaker than either Gore or Kerry. I think he’s also more effective than McCain and that McCain will be hurt by how similar the vast majority of his policies are to the Bush policies. This isn’t the old days where it was easy to swing far right and then try to come back to the center for the general election. It’s far easier to resurrect videos and sound clips of the positions taken for the sake of shoring up the base and McCain’s been doing a lot more of that than Obama over the last few months.

    Given those factors I think Missouri (Whatever current polls are saying.) is definitely in play.
