Power corrupts...Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The same is sometimes said of money; (money corrupts…)
Obama is in a struggle for power (president) and his ways is money. Now that he has the power of the DNC his corruption is leading to the desire for more money.

He has great strategist and they will spin this. I don’t think a single Obama supporter will change his or her position. This may affect a few voters that are on the fence, especially the disgruntled Clinton supporters.

Further, I think it is a political miscalculation for the campaign to assume that people will not care about Obama’s changed position on the issue.

Go out in public and do a survey to find out what percent of the people have any knowledge of what you're talking about here. Use these results to better determine whether the miscalculation is yours or Obama's. :-)

Here's your alleged takeaway, which begs an obvious question:

Here’s why: The Obama campaign is based largely on the promise of change, on doing things differently, on real and tangible results. Yet, when given the opportunity to change things now (like the public financing system or engaging the GOP nominee in several joint campaign events), the Obama campaign consistently comes up with excuses on why that change isn’t proper at the moment. Obviously, these kinds of moves are not going to hurt Obama with current supporters; however, it may hurt him with independents and Republicans that want to believe in him, but see these kinds of isuses (albeit small in the grand scheme of things) as signals that Obama may not deliver on the promises of his campaign. This could very well be a problem for the Obama campaign and they should be ever mindful of it.

The obvious question begged? How much can Barack Obama change if he loses the election?.
