In other words Portman would contribute strongly to continuing Bush administration policies for 4 more years. Of course that’s what I would expect from a McCain administration.

I dunno. McCain is in trouble. He needs a game-changer. I don’t see a conventional white male “loyal Bushie” conservative as giving him what he needs to close the gap. He has to throw the dice. bobby Jindal - or a woman would be a better choice.
