I don’t think anybody believes that Texas can turn blue this election cycle, but last month McCain was leading by 14, and the fact that we’re not seeing single digits is definitely unexpected.
How has Obama made up ground in this solidly red state?

There’s finally some movement in this poll after three straight days with the exact same result. However, Obama’s leads without leaners included is still at 7, which is where it was yesterday.

On Wednesday Olbermann completed a pair of truly jaw-dropping contradictory broadcasts on the issue of FISA, telecom immunity, and of course, Obama’s support for same. Glenn Greenwald called him on it in his column Thursday and kicked off a left field food fight in the process.

Since Senator McCain is in Ohio this week, the scuttlebutt is focused on former Ohio Representative Rob Portman – a respected Conservative whose economic experience and service for both Bushes has earned him many Capitol Hill cheerleaders.

Well, looks like after a couple of national polls showing big time leads, we might be settling back down to reality. Because this latest from TIME shows results very similar to Gallup and Rasmussen.

Some may see this as a negative, but one benefit to Obama having social networking available for his supporters is it gives people an opportunity to state their opposition. Obama probably won’t change his position, but at least people feel that they have a voice, and can find likeminded people to organize and spread the [...]
