However, when 3rd party candidates are taken out, Obama leads by 12. Still, it’s an impressive margin and now we have another outlier to match Newsweek’s poll last week that showed a 15 point lead for Obama, 51% to 36%.

between the sitting President and the two candidates to replace him, all believe in expanding the power of the executive branch, even to the point of overruling the protections of the Bill of Rights as they see fit. All three – Bush, McCain, Obama. Actions speak louder than words, and when the rubber meets the road on real bills like the compromise FISA bill, there is no qualitative difference on their views of the unitary executive, regardless of what they say to gullible supporters.

This basically means they’re tied, but Indiana is usually a very reliably red state, so this is actually quite surprising.

Among men, McCain leads by 5; among women, Obama leads by 7 — a 12-point gender gap.
Among voters age 18 to 49, Obama leads by 5; among voters 50+, McCain [...]

Some surprising data here, but what’s not surprising is that the economy is at the very top of the priority list. And that has to be good news for Obama since he has such a wide lead.
