Bottled Water: Is It Worth It?
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Cartoons, Energy, Environment, Money, Oil
I know I’ve personally stopped drinking bottled water as much as I can. There just doesn’t seem to be much point to it here in the US. Sure, I can understand for personal and public emergencies, but regular personal use just seems like a waste anymore.
What do you think?

I have several Sigg bottles that I keep at work and at home and fill with filtered water. I’ve completely stopped buying bottled water in quantity. If I end up with a bottle while I’m out and about, I always take it home and put it out for recycling.

The only time I drink bottled water is when I’m overseas and the tap water is suspect. And even then, I usually try to reuse the bottles by stripping the labels, filling them with tap water, and leaving them in the sun for a week. I’m headed for El Salvador tomorrow, but won’t be able to use that trick since I won’t be there long enough for it to matter. Oh well.
