McCain ties it all up today since Obama’s 1% lead is within the poll’s margin or error.
Some favorability numbers…
- McCain is now viewed favorably by 56% of voters, Obama by 54%.
- Obama receives unfavorable reviews from 44% of voters while McCain is viewed unfavorably by 41%.
- McCain earns favorable ratings from 32% of Democrats while Obama is viewed favorably by 22% of Republicans.
- Among unaffiliated voters, McCain is viewed favorably by 58%, Obama by 54%.
Perhaps the more people get to know Obama, the less they like him?

I think this is more reflective of the early week stuff which was poor for Obama, namely being viewed as flipping to the center and doesn’t cover the later week stuff which was bad for McCain, like the whiners comments, remeber for most voters there is a couple of days delay in absorbing the news. Most voters aren’t news junkies like those who visit this blog, in fact it won’t be until monday really until we can be sure if this poll represents a new level for the race, basically tied, or if its just a short term fallout from Fisa and refine
