McCain Camp Scrutinizes Eric Cantor

1. AP reported that the McCain camp has asked Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor for personal documents in the veep vetting process.

2. There are obvious advantages for Cantor: He’s 45, works on the Ways & Means committee, is Jewish, serves as finance chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee and he’s got a Conservative voting record — not to mention, he comes from a decidedly purple battleground state.

3. To further Cantor speculation, there was a private lunch McCain had with Cantor’s wife a few weeks ago… and the site EricCantorForVP.com mysteriously launched out of nowhere.
