Rasmussen: McCain Leads By 1, Tied
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, Democrats, Independents, McCain, Polls, RepublicansWith leaners
McCain – 47%
Obama – 46%
Without leaners
Obama – 44%
McCain – 44%
McCain maintains his statistically insignificant lead today, as Zogby is showing something similar.
Perhaps it has something to do with this energy issue?
Forty-six percent (46%) of voters trust McCain more than Obama on energy issues while Obama is trusted more by 42%. Two months ago, Obama had a four point edge on the energy issue.
So an 8 point swing in two months. It had to be the offshore drilling issue, and probably the reason why Obama finally conceded that offshore drilling would be on the table if it leads to a comprehensive energy strategy.
