Obama & McCain Trade Jabs On The Economy

First McCain’s ad, which once again uses the celebrity meme and opinions from newspaper editorials…

Then Obama’s ad, which features McCain’s optimism about the economy contrasted with real people talking about struggling to make ends meet…

I think this one goes to Obama. He’ll get a lot more traction from real people talking about real problems then McCain will get from leaning on a few select editorial boards talking gloom and doom about middle class tax cuts.

What do you think?

I agree. I think the McCain ad is deceptive in that Obama has made clear that he would not raise taxes (and would in fact lower them) for people making under $250,000. One can debate whether raising them for anyone is a good idea during a recession (or whatever we’re in), but saying that “Obama’s taxes will hurt your family” is at best misleading.

(By the way, I am not an Obama supporter, nor a McCain supporter. See my website for proof)
