You have to realize most of these people grew up hunting and target shooting and have owned a gun/rifle all their lives. I would also bet that there is a certification process for the few that will actually have the guns in school. I would feel a lot safer in school if I knew that someone was there to protect me or my children. Change is a good thing. I think I heard that in a political speech. In the event an incident occurred, they want trained people to respond in a timely fashion. I know many of you find guns to be an anathema to a civilized society.
