If I were Obama I’d steer Away from the abortion issue, as he voted AGAINST the “Born Alive Infants Protection Act.” HOW IN F&#^ SAKE DO YOU VOTE IN FAVOR OF 4th TERM ABORTIONS!? i.e. a little thing called “infanticide.” All that hope that he could transpose his liberation theology on traditional Evangelicals ain’t gonna happen with little dead babies dangling around his neck.

Based on that: I think if you are pro-humanity, that’s a very good reason to vote against Barrack Obama.

That was the 1st thing I wondered, “did you vote to confirm these folks?”

McCain is full of crap on abortion, always has been. This signals to me that, regardless of what he may say, it’s not an issue he really cares about that much. My gut says that if he’s elected, he’s more likely to nominate a pragmatic cipher than an ideologue. Especially if it’s someone that will be difficult for the right to criticize because of other reasons.

But that’s a guess. I think if you are pro-choice, that’s a very good reason to vote against John McCain.

I think the question was, “Which would you not have nominated.” Seems like it’s fair to put it in terms of an assessment of their performance on the bench. I would have liked to have seen a follow-up to McCain’s answer, along the lines of “Do you regret voting to approve their nomination?”

Interesting at how quickly Obama went after Thomas, too.

Fair enough…although wasn’t Souter a bit of a cipher before he got on the court. On that one I would think a little “knowing what we know now” is in order.
