Aw gee, she’s such a good mom. When rumors were running rampant on the internet about whether or not she or Bristol mothered ‘lil trig she decided against one very simple solution: a statement from her attending physician. Instead Sarah thrusts her 17 year old daughter into the global spotlight. Maybe it’s because Sarah’s still unsure whether or not her son was born at Mat-Sur Regional Medical Center in Palmer or Providence Hospital in Anchorage…What a mom.

When I heard Palin announce her nomination on the radio yesterday I honestly HONESTLY thought it was another David Sedaris story being performed by Julia Sweeny. What else could be so ridiculous?

Two-terms as a city council member in Wasilla is four years in a part-time job. Her constituency as mayor was 1/27th the size of Illinois State Senate Disctrict 13. Her constituency as governor is 1/18th the size of a U.S. Senator from Illinois.

Don’t get me wrong, a governorship provides chief executive experience that, at present, neither Obama, McCain, nor Biden have. But if we take that tack, I suppose she’s the only person in the race who’s ready.

Palin has less than 70 days to convince us she’s ready to be president should something happen to McCain, heaven forbid. Obama’s had a year and a half and many still have doubts.

Who’s being naive?
