Rasmussen: McCain Up By 1

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, Biden, Democrats, Independents, McCain, Palin, Polls, Republicans

McCain - 48%
Obama - 47%

Exact same numbers as yesterday as the race continues to remain tight. But this is good news for McCain if he’s able to stay just ahead of Obama because it means that undecideds are probably breaking for him.

And what about those “Wal-Mart Swing Voters”?

McCain leads 58% to 38% among those who regularly shop at Wal-Mart while Obama leads 61% to 36% among those who don’t frequent the retail giant.

Overall, Obama leads among those who earn less than $40,000 a year while McCain leads among those with higher earnings. Among white voters, Obama has the edge only among those who earn less than $20,000 a year and his advantage among those lower income white voters is just four percentage points.

The 5 day:
09/17/2008: McCain - 48%, Obama - 47%
09/16/2008: McCain - 48%, Obama - 47%
09/15/2008: McCain - 49%, Obama - 47%
09/14/2008: McCain - 50%, Obama - 47%
09/13/2008: McCain - 49%, Obama - 46%
