McCain Responds To Economic Downturn

For now, what do you think? I like the idea of calling for more transparency, regulation and accountability, but who doesn’t want that? And since Obama gave his speech first, McCain seems more like a follow on than anything. I guess at the end of the day, calling for more oversight into what the market is doing is pretty much all we’re going to get, as there’s no magic bullet other than transparency to make sure this won’t happen again.
So I think at the end of the day voters will ask themselves, “Who can deliver?” A long-timer who has claimed he doesn’t know that much about the economy or a newcomer who doesn’t have much economic experience, but claims he has the judgement to make good decisions.

I’d say look at the advisors …

I’m already “in the tank” for Obama. But even still, with the enormous challenges that the next President is going to face when it comes to the economy, I’d much prefer a guy who’s talking with, and taking advice from, people like Robert Rubin, Paul Volker and Warren Buffet.
McCain’s economic advisors on the other hand, include a guy who just a couple of days ago told us that McCain invented the blackberry, a woman who said he’s not qualified to run a corporation, and a former Senator who said we’re in “mental recession”, and called us a “nation of whiners”.
I’m sorry, but we’ve reached the point where things are no-joke just too serious for BS politics.
At this point, I don’t care what McCain says … just this week, he’s had at least 4 different positions. Why should anybody believe his “solution of the day”?
Honestly, how can any rational personal actually think that John McCain is the best choice to lead our country?
