The problem with Chuck Baldwin is that he's a theocrat... his version (or his party's version) of "liberty" is basically "Free if you're a Christian.... forced to act like a Christian if you're not." Plus the press conference invited some very non-libertarian minded retards, such as Ralph Nader.

The only support he 'lost' were the fad voters. People who believe in his honesty or his politics aren't going to be angry at him. Most did not expect him to do as well as he did, thanks largely in part to the internet.

Bob Barr being a libertarian is like a panther being a small cat. Just in name. Much like Ron Paul being a Republican.

Ron Paul stayed true to his word throughout his campaign. He did not run as a third party, even if it would've definitely taken votes away from both. He did not endorse either big party candidate because neither represented his views. Bob Barr was suspect from the beginning. If Chuck Baldwin represents his views the most, then more power to him.

And endorsing Barr would have redeemed him, or kept him more relevant for a slightly longer time?

How about the reality he was DEAD right on his doom and gloom predictions about the housing markets, and our economy?
I mean DEAD ON.

THAT is what he should be remembered for. Not who the hell he endorsed.
Come on.
