Palin Gets Asked A Question. Reporters Asked To Leave.

I’m sorry folks, but it’s getting downright comical at this point.

Via Politico comes this revealing moment after McCain and Palins’ meeting with Georgian President Saakashvilli and Ukrainian President Yushchenko…

McCain then looked around the room and gestured as if to welcome questions. The AP reporter shouted a question at Gov. Palin (“Governor, what have you learned from your meetings?”) but McCain aide Brooke Buchanan intervened and shepherded everybody out of the room.

Palin looked surprised, leaned over to McCain and asked him a question, to which your pooler thinks he shook his head as if to say “No.”

Do they seriously not understand how this looks? This woman is obviously not an idiot, so why not let her answer some questions from the press already?

One thing’s for sure…the McCain camp can’t keep this up for long. Palin’s credibility is dropping like a rock, and if they want her to be more of an asset than a liability, they’ll have to open up access.

Also, if I were her, I’d just start answering questions regardless of whether or not the McCain camp wanted me to or not. Because they could be doing serious damage to her long term political aspirations with this duck and dodge press strategy they’re inexplicably clinging to.

More as it develops…

It isn’t obvious to me that she’s not an idiot.

The more she talks, the more she sounds like one. Get a load of her interview with Katy Couric if you need more proof.

  2. Herb Says:

Ed – That’s exactly what I thought. I mean, did you see the interview with Couric? Wow!!!

  3. badjoke Says:

You sound like you’re saying that she’s capable of independent thought, but her campaign is holding her back. Her campaign actually IS holding her back, but it’s out of fear that she’ll embarrass them even more.

  4. Jimmy the Dhimmi Says:

She is the Barack Obama of Republicans. When Barack Obama goes off script, he sounds like an idiot too, like with the Rick Warren interview.

Admittedly, it was a condescending question. It sounds like, “What did you learn in school today dear?” That’s probably why her lawyers advised her not to respond.

  5. Political Moron Says:

She makes Dan Quale look like a genous. Sara answers questions like a college dropout. If the republicans are smart they should get rid of her before the debate. Or Obama is in
