		<description>GOP and McCain do come out looking bad and whinny from all of this.  You can&#039;t do the daring rescue dance to get the credit and then get none of the blame when it fails.  I&#039;m worried about where we go now.</description>

And yeah, as much as I hate to admit it, McCain is probably screwed now, no matter how well he or Palin do in the remaining debates. Congratulations Barack Obama, after all is said and done you have likely won your way into the White House by dint of sheer (un)fortunate happenstance.</description>

		<description>I&#039;m willing to bet Bush had wished he had saved some political capital so he might have some hope of salvaging his (at least immediate) legacy.  He does appear to be for the most part irrelevant.</description>
