Palin did not have a meltdown.
Having said that, Biden came off as more dependable and credible.
This is not a ‘values’ election. It is a ‘can you save a country hurtling towards disaster’ election.
Because of that, Biden wins for the boring, but substantive answers.

My thoughts are it’s a nice break, but not why I’d vote for anybody. I am not one to agree that someone in high government needs to relate to me. We need someone who was expertise beyond the norm, expertise to handle situations we average citizens rather not stress about. Was Biden boring? What is boring – having substance?
Everybody wants someone to ‘fix’ something, but no one wants anyone to have an innate understanding of complex issues – because that’s ‘boring’.

I wonder if “the real Biden emerges.” I think “people don’t want to vote for a policy wonk. They want to vote for a caring father.” I think “a new strategy is born.” “I think this could work for him.”

It did work for Hillary though. Just not for very long. Plus there’s a very big difference between the emotion of stress and the emotion of loved ones lost. When I saw Hillary do it, my reaction was, “Lame, but people will respond.” When Biden started to break down last night, I definitely responded to that. I felt bad for Palin having to abruptly follow up right after.
