People, politicians especially, really dont talk like that. I thought it conveyed a lack of seriousness regarding the situation. I also thought the "shout out" was amazingly immature and stupid coming from a vp candidate. I viewed most of that stuff as validating rather than refuting her status as a lightweight. A goal of demonstrating real competence was too much to shoot for i guess. I have a hard time believing most of that folksy stuff was not affected.
